Install

The SayDiagram extension works in any VS Code–compatible editor. Search “SayDiagram” in Extensions to install.

  • VS Code — search Extensions or open the Marketplace listing (marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=saydiagram.saydiagram).
  • Cursor — search “SayDiagram” in Extensions (uses VS Code Marketplace).
  • Windsurf — search “SayDiagram” in Extensions.
  • VSCodium — install from Open VSX (open-vsx.org/extension/saydiagram/saydiagram) or use Install from VSIX.
  • github.dev / Codespaces — search “SayDiagram” in the web Extensions view.

What you can do

  • Preview .mmd files in a side panel.
  • Open a file in SayDiagram on the web.
  • Generate a diagram with AI from a description.

Pro API key

Pro and Team users can run SayDiagram: Set API Key (paste your sd_live_… key from Profile → API keys). With a key, Generate with AI calls the Public API directly and opens the result in your browser. Without a key the command falls back to a browser-based Idea handoff.
